What is 'Personal Agency' and 'Agency-based Empowerment'?

  • 'Personal agency' is the ability to make and act upon decisions that impact our lives, making it a core component of Women's Economic Empowerment.
  • 'Agency-based empowerment' methods focus on individual psychological competencies (e.g., self-confidence, self-responsibility, assertion), as a compliment to traditional Resource-based empowerment efforts (e.g. materials, financing, access to technical knowledge).

Agency-based Empowerment and Leadership training helps entrepreneurs and employees align their actions with their own visions of a prosperous future.

We look forward to meeting you!
